Delete your Kara account

When your account is deleted, we remove:

• Your account and email address. The sign-in identity and profile for your account.
• Audio recordings. Every meeting recording you have captured.
• Transcripts, notes, and summaries. All text derived from your audio, plus notes you added.
• Chat history. Your conversations with the AI assistant.

We also instruct the providers that process data on our behalf to delete the associated data:

• Soniox — speech-to-text.
• Google Gemini — summaries and extracted data.
• Google Cloud — secure audio storage.

Any connected integrations you authorized — Gmail, Google Calendar, or HubSpot — have their OAuth access revoked, so Kara can no longer access those services.

1. In the app (if you can sign in). Go to Settings → Account → Delete account. After you confirm, your account is locked and scheduled for permanent deletion after a grace period (by default 7 days), after which it and all your data are permanently removed and cannot be recovered. Download your data first if you want a copy.

2. Without signing in (uninstalled the app, or can't access your account). Email [email protected] with the subject “Account deletion request — Kara” and include the email address on your account. We verify that you own the account, then delete it and the associated data.

When you confirm deletion in the app, your account is locked and scheduled for permanent deletion after a grace period (by default 7 days). When the grace period ends, your account and all associated data are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. For requests made by email, we delete your account and the associated data as soon as we have verified that you own the account.
